March '08: Czulu has moved into the Jumper ring with trainer Claudio Gallo and Czulu is For Sale. For more information click the link. Czulu is showing successfully in the Level and 4 and 5 Jumpers. He is fast and he is careful and shows the potential to move up.

Pedigree

 

Czulu is a June 2000 Gelding who currently stands 16'2+ H at 6 years old. He is by the leading hunter sire Alla'Czar and out of the French papered Selle Francais mare, Glass Slipper, who is by the renowned SF stallion Bonjour. Bonjour is most well known as a dressage performer and stallion, but he also has many offspring competing sucessfully in jumping arenas and is a consistant producer of quality.

  
 
Czulu is registered and branded Oldenburg N/A. Czulu was presented to Oldenburg N/A Dec '05 and now has his Certified Breeding License for '05-'06 which means his foals are eligible for presentation to that registry for papers and branding. Czulu scored well at this provisional at this provisional inspection earning a Dressage Index of 76.0 and a Jumping Index of 73.5 with a total point score of 219.5. Czulu was shown on the line very successfully in 2002. He was Zone 8 Hunter Breeding Champion 2 y/o with limited showing. He was also IHF West Coast Regional Champion 2 y/o Colt. Please use this link to see Czulu's 2002 Hunter Breeding show stats.
 
2003 Czulu returned to IHF West Coast Regional where he was Grand Champion 3 year old winning both of the over fences classes including the model. This was his second horse show not counting hunter breeding. He was mannerly and brave to the jumps. He has a huge stride making the distances easy.
 
2004 Czulu again participated in the IHF West Coast Regional Competition held at Del Mar, CA in Aug. This year he was Reserve Champion 4 Year Old.
 
Feb' 05: Czulu and rider/ trainer Renae Coates moved into the First Year Green and Green Conformation divisions where they earned respectable prizes including a win at Tucson HITS Kachina Classic out of a class of 21 entries, a win in the Conformation class at HITS Sundance Welcome, and several second places pinnings in the under saddle classes. This young stallion is 5 years old. He truly is a 'green' hunter.

June '05: In preparation for his Provisional Stallion Test Czulu began dressage training with Colter Baysa. Colter and his wife Juliet were instrumental in preparing this young stallion and their work was definitely reflected and rewarded with Czulu's Dressage Index (76.0).

We have test bred Czulu to a few mares over the last two years and have been very pleased with the resulting foals. Czulu's first foal, Za'Czu, was 'unofficially' presented to Oldenburg N/A in 2004 and 'unofficially' received an 8.6 for movement.

Peggy Berwanger of Brinklow MD says of her Czulu colt Czolitaire "He has a gorgeous head and neck and a TON of personality. I would say Czulu made a huge improvement in type on this (TB) mare. He has an awesome walk, a lovely big soft canter, and a nice ground covering lofty trot. We love him!!"

 

Jan '06: Edie Larson writes "Everyone who sees him (Za'Czu) and works with him (farrier, vet, dentist) just loves him…he is so smart and sensible, even when my older horses are not. Camille, I can’t tell you how happy I am he is a part of our family. He’s so much fun, very willing to please. He has certainly made a good impression on all who have seen him so far." Thanks Edie, that is what every stallion owner wants to hear from someone who purchased a foal.
