Feb '07: Czuni has started back to work as a 3 y/o. She is pictured above with Jr rider Brenna Bollig. My normal professional rider was not available so Brenna, who has never ridden Czuni before, volunteered to ride so I could video. Also, this is the first time Czuni has jumped anything with a rider. Thanks Brenna and good job. We were very pleased with how Czuni came back to work. Again, very willing and quick to learn. I think she is going to be a small junior.

DHF Za'Czu (Za-Zu): 2004 Bay Colt by Czulu - SOLD

Za'Czu: 2004 colt by Czulu out of an imported Irish TB mare.
He was born February 3rd at 10:30 pm. This is Czulu's first foal!
Za'Czu is a good sized colt with a very typey head, good shoulder
and the look and conformation to be a good Hunter Breeding candidate.
These first pictures were taken at 3 days old. I expect him to mature
to 16'2-3. He is handled daily and is already started in a halter.
He is friendly and easy to work with. Za'Czu is IHF nominated and
PHR registered.
Oct '04:
Oldenburg N/A inspection at Darkhorse Farm: Although Za'Czu is
not eligible for registration this year because his sire Czulu
has not yet been presented for stallion approval, Dr. Karsten
Kuel, our German Inspector, generously agreeded to take a look
at Czulu's first offspring. Dr. Kuel was very complimentary of
this weanling saying he would have earned an 8.6 for movement
if he were being scored and was of the type and conformation that
is being sought. A good start for Czulu as a young stallion prospect.
Two trot shots added from this inspection.
Feb '05:
Conformation picture taken at the USEF Judges Hunter Breeding
Clinic held in Tucson AZ. We took Za'Czu to get some experience
and he was well received by the large group of clinicians 'winning'
the Yearling class.
March '05: Congratulations to Edie Larson of
Maidens VA on her purchase of Za'Czu. Edie plans to show 'Zack'
(new barn name) in Hunter Breeding and have some fun with him
while he grows up. Eventually he will become her new show hunter.
Edie promises to send pictures. Thanks Edie and big congratulations
on this nice young horse.
Jan '06: Edie Larson writes "Everyone who sees him (Za'Czu) and works with him (farrier, vet, dentist) just loves him…he is so smart and sensible, even when my older horses are not. Camille, I can’t tell you how happy I am he is a part of our family. He’s so much fun, very willing to please. He has certainly made a good impression on all who have seen him so far." Thanks Edie, that is what every stallion owner wants to hear from someone who purchased a foal. |

Whimczical: 2004 Chestnut Sabino filly by Alla'Czar- SOLD

Whimczical: 2004 filly by Alla'Czar out of a mare by the Dutch stallion Art Deco so this filly is 3/4 Dutch. She
was born March 16th at 1:30am. As soon as mare and foal were settled
I contacted Karen Klaas to notify her that Kali had a filly. Karen
was interested in this foal and had asked for first right of refusal
if it was a filly. Karen and her husband have purchased this filly
and have named her Whimczical, barn name Roczie.
Karen says "We LOVE her. Your stallion outdid himself. I am so glad we
decided to go this route. As for my plans for her, I do plan to
show her on the line. My long term goals are to ride her in the
Adult Amateurs and then eventually breed her."
This is a very fancy and typey filly. She is quite a personality and is
already a favorite around the barn. These pictures were taken at
2 days old. Karen plans to leave Roczie here at DHF through Oct
so she can be here for our annual Oldenburg N/A inspection and then
Roczie will go to her new home in St. Leonard MD. Congratulations
Karen.
Oct 11, '04 Oldenburg N/A inspection: Whimczical's owner, Karen Klaas, made the trip from MD
to come see her new filly for the first time. Karen flew in the night
before and did all the prep work, cleaning white stockings, pullling
mane, etc. Roczie was rewarded with Premium filly scores, 8.0's and
an 8.1 for movement. Pictured above at inspection, 7 months old. Roczie
has now arrived at her new home and is settling in nicely. Congratulations
Karen. |

C'zanzibar is by Alla'Czar and o/o an Oldenburg GOV papered and Oldenburg N/A approved mare. This is a
WB foal not a WB cross. This colt was born March 3, '04 and is 3
days old in these first pictures. This is a big colt. I expect him
to mature to 17H+ just like his mother. He, again, like his mother
is light for his size and is light in his step. He has two high
whites on his right side and I think (maybe) two smaller socks on
his other side, hard to tell right now. This is a very friendly
colt. He is quite socialable. We have started halter work. He is
handled daily. He will be presented to Oldenburg N/A in October
and he is IHF eligible. He already shows good movement.

Braczen (pronounced Brazen)
which means bold and this name does describe this colt. He is friendly
and bold. Braczen is by Alla'Czar and is out of a nicely bred TB mare.
He was born Feb 21st at 10:00pm. He is chestnut with a very fancy face
with a nice blaze, two medium stockings in front and two smaller socks

than the other two colts Paris has had but I still expect him to mature
to 16'2+. Braczen is handled daily, halter and feet work and he is good
natured and friendly. These first two pictures were taken at a week
old. This colt is IHF eligible and has the looks and conformation and
correctness to be a good Hunter Breeding contender.
Oct 13th: second set of pics,
taken at Darkhorse Farm's Oldenburg N/A Inspction. Braczen is 8 months
old and has been weaned for 3 months. He has now been clipped, bathed,

Braczen. Audrey has been riding for years starting in the ponies and
moving into the equitation and jumper rings. Audrey says "I have
always loved & admired Alla' Czar, so I decided to look for one
of his babies. My future plans for Braczen will be to show him on the
line while he's growing up & eventually work our way towards the
a/o hunters." Audrey plans to leave Braczen here at DHF through
April so the change in temperature from AZ to IL will not be so drastic.
Congratulations Audrey.
UPDATE April '04: Braczen has arrived at his new home in Elburn IL. He made the cross
country trip safely, is settling in nicely and as this new picture shows
is loving the new grass!

Alexis:

scores with an 8.2 for movement. She was clipped and bathed and
braided, all of which she took with good temperment. The first trot

in AZ are in OCT because of the summer heat so Alexis has been weaned.
Lexi is IHF nominated. She is conformationally correct and will
be a Hunter Breeding candidate.
March 8, 2003 CARA Horse
Show which runs two rings, both Hunter Breeding and Sport Horse,
Lexi won both rings in her age group. She was Champion Yearling
both sexes, and was High Point Filly in the Sport Horse ring with
a score from judge Gurd Zuther of 69.7%. I always do the Sport Horse
ring at this show as I do get another good appraisal of my horse.
UPDATE: DEC
'04: Lexi now stands 16H and is growing into a very attractive young
horse. She was shown on the line locally and is now the Zone 8 Hunter
Breeding 2 y/o Champion (picture above). Lexi was lightly started

good jumping form and willingness to go to the jump that is consistant
with Alla'Czar's offspring. These under saddle pictures were taken

Czia and her young rider did well earning 3rd's through 6ths in big

earned good prizes over fences, won a hack, were Res. Champions in
the 11 & Under Eq division one week. Mar 2004 Czia and young Rachael

in the Childrens, Czia moved into the Pre-Green Division with Rider/Trainer
